I love these boots. I am scared to get them dirty so i only wear them like 4 times a month. Ive had them since christmas 2010 and they still look brand new, im looking foward to getting the black ones then the grey ones, i currently have the brown ones. Everybody at school wears polo boots so i stand out with the uggs, then jaws drop when they find out that i could get 2 pairs of polo boots for the price of 1 pair of uggs. Ugg Nation !!!!!!!!!!!

Nice boot –
Haven’t worn the boots yet as they just arrived. I had to order a 1/2 size smaller than normal so they wouldn’t feel too wide. Nice look with shearling on top (note: unlike some Uggs. shearling in Butte only covers ankles/calf and insole…not foot itself). Still quite comfortable. Leather is soft enough, but not too rugged. I’m sure it will break in fairly quickly. Liked look because it was rugged enough, without looking like a hunting boot.

Two surprising issues with these Ugg Boots –
I am an avid fisherman and year round boater in Northern Texas on Lake Texoma. I have owned several pair of regular Ugg Fleece Lined boots and loved them because they keep my feet warm and dry with no socks needed. I thought these would be great for winter fishing and walking long distances on the docks.
They look great but I was surprised to find that they do not breathe as well as the regular suede boots. SO when I wear them barefoot like my others, I find that they make my feet perspire and then my feet begin to get cold. So you need to wear socks with these boots to avoid that problem.
I also have low arches, or flat feet. There is virtually no arch support with these Uggs and if I walk for long distances my flat feet begin to hurt. You should get arch supports like orthodics if you buy these Uggs.

Nice boot. They are comfortable, but if you have a high instep, they might be a little tight. I don’t think that I could add an orthotic.

Many of the reviews for these boots said to order a half size smaller. This doesn’t apply if you have high arches; order true size. Otherwise, these are very comfortable and flexible. I am expecting them to be warm and provide good footing as indicated in others’ reviews. I rated them four stars overall only because I haven’t personally tested the warmth of the boots.

I’m a woman but ordered these boots because Zappos was out of stock for the woman’s Adirondack in the color I wanted. I figured these boots were probably almost the same thing, and they were, except for one major difference. The Adirondack is fleece lined inside but these boots have a slippery nylonish lining. I’m assuming it’s something ‘good’ as these boots cost more than the almost identical Adirondacks, but the slippery lining was a deal breaker for me because my foot didn’t feel as secure in the boot as it did in the wool lined ones. I sure like the looks of Butte in the dark brown but the comfort just wasn’t there for me with the slippery lining.

I love this boot. At first the price might seem a little excessive; however, it is very high quality with a Vibram outsole and breathable, waterproof eVent fabric. I’ve had other similar UGG boots that I have worn every winter for 5-6 years, and they are still like new. So for me, well worth the money. For a snow boot, the Butte is surprisingly lightweight so you’re protected, but not at the cost of maneuverability. I wear it (black) with business dress with the fur collar up, and with more casual clothes, with the collar down. The sheepskin lining does not fully surround the foot as in some other UGG boots, so this one is not as warm as others that I have. However, I was still able to walk comfortably in snow on a 20 degree day with only light dress socks. Overall, a great buy!

The UGG Butte is a sharp looking boot and not nearly as bulky as a typical snow or hiking boot. I have a pair of Keen Summit County snow boots which feel “beefier” than the Butte, but at the price of more bulk and stiffness. The Butte was very flexible and comfortable right out of the box. I wear a 10.5 US and ordered the Butte in both a 10 and a 10.5 since many people were suggesting these ran large by a half size. Well, those folks are correct – the 10.5’s were loose and floppy on me, but the 10’s fit perfectly so I kept them and returned the larger size. Am really enjoying my Butte’s so far!

Perfect boots for cold, rain, sleet, snow, etc. These are very comfortable (for all day wear), warm (without making your feet sweaty), & stylish (always receive a compliment while wearing these). I don’t plan on mountaineering or hiking in these (outside of after-ski lounging that is), so suit my city lifestyle just fine. Tend to find different shoe brands have sizes all over the map. I own many a pair of Nike’s and find they are pretty consistent. I always wear 9.5 in Nike’s/Jordans and for me, this boot in a size 9 is the right fit. For what my opinion is worth, I’d say 1/2 size down.

Excellent boot. I have a closet full of heavy winter style boots and it’s actually refreshing to put these on. They look great and are incredibly lite! According to other reviews that mentioned the boots run large I ordered a 12 and an 11.5 (I wear 12). Both were too small. 13 was perfect. I wore these boots on a trip to Sweden and up to Kiruna and the arctic circle. Kept my feet very warm, had no problems with breaking them in, and they were comfortable and lite enough to trek around the city on a sightseeing excursion. As always, Zappos shipping was amazing!

I also wanted to test how good these boots are so I jumped in puddles of water and still my feet didnt get wet! im buying another pair next month!

So disappointing. I’ve been buying Uggs for 20 years and recently their quality has gone downhill. This boot is not fully lined like past Uggs. For a winter boot, it’s surprising that the toe is not lined. Sad that Ugg quality has gone downhill.

I had recently ordered a pair of female Uggs in brown and grey in sizes 11 and 10 because 11 was too big, however they were both bulky on my feet. When I realized they come a half size bigger in males I found the 7.5 to fit me perfectly. I love Zappos!

Get boots. Super soft and waterproof. Purchased these for my boyfriend who always has to walk long distances on campus (rain or shine). He loves them and wears them every day. I am a woman with size 12 1/2 feet. I ordered the mens Ugg Butte because of the nice gray color with gray sheepskin. When I received the boots I “girled” them up by putting different bright colored shoelaces in them. With added Ugg thick insoles I was walking on clouds! Quite nice as I have diabetic neuropathy in my feet. I would purchase Ugg products again, very satisfied.

I got the Butte’s in black, great looking and can pass under my dress pants on snowy days. (I like that you can fold the fur side down and tuck in your pants, or fold up fur side and pull pants over, depending on your dress and style.) I put off buying winter boots for years, even though I live in Utah. My GF wanted UGGS for Christmas and found these as I was picking out her boots. I bought due to UGG’s reputation of quality, the looks and all the solid reviews. The reviews were dead on. I took these out immediately to walk the dog in snow covered sidewalks on a 20 degree day (45 mins or so) and they kept me perfectly warm in athletic socks. Some have complained the fur lining doesn’t go all the way through the sole, this is correct, the upper thicker fur you see stops near bottom of shaft but the whole lower sole has a shorter furry liner all throughout, making it very comfy and warm. The label says 100% wool lining. So if you’re like me and got thrown off thinking the sole would be flat sewn on, non-furry fabric, rest at ease, its furry and soft. As others mentioned the boots run a little large. I wear a 10 to 10.5 and I ordered the 10. I put on two rather thick pairs of athletic socks and still had room in the toe. (keep in mind you want room for thicker winter socks.) so this was my test and it passed perfectly. Great look, dry, quality build and hopefully last for years, otherwise I never would have paid this much for boots. I am glad I did.

I ordered these boots despite the reviews saying they ahve a slippery lining. Mine are fully lined in fleece so I’m not sure what the other reviewers received. I’m very happy with the style, warmth and comfort.
